while visiting my friend Alison in her village, we went to explore the gold mines that have sprung up in the area. because of the rapid influx of miners who have flocked with the hopes of easy money, a sprawling transient village made of straw huts is growing all around the mining site. as you can see, these makeshift shelters come in all shapes and sizes. ive also included some photos of cooking and water collection containers. the first hut shown is my friend's mud hut.
